This year marks the 5th anniversary of hub magazine’s Apex Awards program, which honors the innovation and thought leadership displayed by employers and brokers working to improve the health care system.

 

In 2009, nominations were no longer limited to a particular award category.  Recognizing that most programs address a variety of health care concerns, submissions were instead judged based on each program’s overall approach to specific health care challenges, and the corresponding results in overcoming those challenges.

 

Apex Awards were also awarded this year to brokers and consultants to recognize their efforts in successfully collaborating with employers to design and advance innovative health care programs.

 

This year, companies collectively representing nearly 2 million employees applied for an Apex Award. On the following pages, read about the 10 winners, and how their efforts are delivering solutions and driving positive change for their employees.
